The initial idea for Emme was born of hundreds of interview with women about what they need from a smart health care system: a technologically integrated system for managing birth control. Women are reminded over and over that they should remember to take their birth control pills, but until Emme there wasn't a lot of support for helping women remember to take them. We believe that failing to remember your pill isn't a character flaw; it's a systems issue. The Emme system functions to reduce the rate of missed pill, provide day to day support, and improve patience confidence in managing their birth control pills.
